FAQ's Port Lincoln Lions Hostel


A. The hostel has 15 bed rooms. Included in the rooms are two family rooms with a queen size bed and double bunk. These rooms have an adjoining door to a bunk room. The complex is able to sleep 94 people. Refer to site plan.

A. You need to bring:

– bring your own bedding/linen (required)
– Bring your own towels for showers/swimming
– A kitchenette with Fridge, Kettle, electric toaster, jug, microwave, cutlery, crockery and sink.
– Or the full commercial kitchen (with all appliances, industrial dishwasher, utensils, crockery , cutlery etc are all provided)
– Bring your own tea towels for kitchen use
– Individual rooms have heating
– There is an expectation on visitors to leave the premises as clean as on arrival

A. Yes, there is transport available on request. The shuttle bus & taxis serve all Port Lincoln flights which pass by the Hostel and are available by prior arrangement.

A. Some catering is available by arrangement, contact the manager to arrange.


A .Internet facilities are not provided on site; However, they are available using your own mobile modem. The Internet is available at the Pt Lincoln Library free of charge.

A. Next G Mobile phones have good coverage at the Hostel however digital service is intermittent.

A.The local road house has a basic range of packaged and take-away foods, bread, milks, soft drinks and daily papers. There are no grocery stores close by however Port Lincoln only 14km away is well serviced by 7 day a week supermarkets and several Delicatessens.

A. The Wheatsheaf Hotel is within easy walking distance of the hostel and provides counter meals daily.

The North Shields road house sells a small range of take-away foods, both hot and cold.

A. Yes, the Hostel is only 14km north of Port Lincoln, located at the coastal town North Shields.
